2017 Winter Beauty Favourites

I have made some great beauty purchases this Winter. As we all know, not all beauty products live up to your expectations, but these have done me very well.

 Sephora Face Masks

Sephora eye and face masks are INCREDIBLE and so affordable! I always purchase these when I go to Sephora, because I know how well they work for me. The most impressive thing I find, is that they are so moisturising and smell beautiful. My skin is combination-dry and very sensitive, so finding skincare is quite difficult for me. These sheet-masks honestly do wonders for me. Great for pamper nights and travelling.

Maybeline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara

Now I know I've already featured this mascara in a previous blog post, but I couldn't help myself. I'm in love with this mascara! I find it so easy to apply, curls my lashes easily and is easy to remove. Would definitely re-purchase this beauty.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Abu Dhabi)

I've added this gorgeous new colour to my collection. While the packaging appears pink-ish in the picture above, the product is a gorgeous warm nude brown colour. Very subtle and natural-looking, great from day to night. Love!

Have you used any of these products? Do you have any beauty products you think I should try/review? Let me know in the comments.

My Top 3 Winter Boots

Shoes are one of my favourite things to buy. They’re fun, playful and always put a smile on my face. In my opinion, winter is the best time to buy shoes, because it’s the season of boots! What’s not to love? They’re comfortable, warm and add a bit of edginess to your look.

Chunky black boots are my absolute favourite! They’re sturdy, grungy-looking and can take a bit of a beating without looking any less amazing.

Chunky Lace Up Boots: H&M
These lace-up chunky platform boots are so comfortable and the cotton fabric makes them very durable. Another plus is that the colour and style of this shoe makes them wearable with pretty much every outfit.

Briony Velvet Boots: Forever New
As said before, I generally lean towards buying chunky black boots, however, this year I’ve ventured out of my comfort zone and purchased a few more colourful options. These blue velvet boots are so beautiful! The fabric is quite thick, ensuring your feet stay toasty in the cold. The navy colour pops in the sunlight, making them great to wear from day to night.

Charlotte Ankle Boots: Betts
The colour of these boots is incredible! In the picture, they appear to be a prominent pale pink colour, however in darker light, they’re purple and sometimes even grey! The colour-shifting effect of the velvet makes these shoes really playful and unique. The low heel also makes them really easy to walk and drive in.

Which is your favourite boot? Let me know in the comments below.

My Current Top 5 Lipsticks

When it comes to makeup, some may say that I have quite the infatuation with lipsticks. This infatuation has in turn left me with quite the lipstick collection and I thought I would share my top five.

1. Rubi Lips

This is one of my favourite lipsticks as it's extremely moisturising and has build-able pigmentation. In the shade ‘Rum and Raisin’, this remains to be a favourite when I'm brave enough to wear such a bold and intense deep purple shade.
When looking at the packaging of this product, I love the chrome silver finish to the exterior and the addition of the product window at the bottom. I also love the ability to detach the window from the product and apply using a lip brush.

2. Maybelline Colour Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick

This Maybelline matte lipstick in the shade ‘Lust for Blush’ is by far one of my favourite matte formulas for a lipstick as it's long wearing and non-drying on the lips. With incredible pigmentation, this is an easy to apply colour to take you from morning to night.

3. Models Prefer Lipstick

With the current trend of nude shades for the lips, this is a beautiful taupe shade that dries on the lips to a semi-matte finish. In the shade ‘Dubai’, the lipstick from Models Prefer is a less expensive alternative for someone starting their makeup collection.

4. Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Anniversary Lipstick

I'm a massive fan of the Rimmel London lipstick formulas and have a growing collection of the Kate Moss nude colour range, as I find them to be extremely wearable. This shade named ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Nude’ is slightly more pink in colour and like all of the lipsticks from this range, has a buildable level of pigmentation.
When looking at the packaging of this lipstick, I love the chrome finish, with the addition of the rose gold on the exterior, it's quite a stunner to look at.

5. Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Finish Lipstick

This Rimmel London lipstick in the shade ‘107’ was my first ever makeup purchase. Sentimental values aside, I'm an avid lover of a strong lip when doing my makeup. There's something monumental about a red lip that makes me love this product that little bit more. What I love about this lipstick is that it's a deeper shade of red than usual; a colour perfect to wear in winter or during the festive season.

So there we have it, a rundown on my top five lipsticks. There is no doubt in my mind that my top five will constantly be changing with every new addition to the collection, so expect many more updates in the year to come!

Are any of these part of your top 5? Let me know in the comments below!
