When it comes to makeup, some may say that I have quite the infatuation with lipsticks. This infatuation has in turn left me with quite the lipstick collection and I thought I would share my top five.
1. Rubi Lips
This is one of my favourite lipsticks as it's extremely moisturising and has build-able pigmentation. In the shade ‘Rum
and Raisin’, this remains to be a favourite
when I'm brave enough to wear such a bold and intense deep purple shade.
When looking at the packaging of this product,
I love the chrome silver finish to the exterior and the addition of the product
window at the bottom. I also love the ability to detach the window from the product
and apply using a lip brush.
2. Maybelline Colour Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick
This Maybelline matte lipstick in the shade
‘Lust for Blush’ is by far one of my favourite matte formulas for a lipstick as
it's long wearing and non-drying on the lips. With incredible pigmentation,
this is an easy to apply colour to take you from morning to night.
3. Models Prefer Lipstick
With the current trend of nude shades for
the lips, this is a beautiful taupe shade that dries on the lips to a semi-matte
finish. In the shade ‘Dubai’, the lipstick from Models Prefer is a less expensive alternative for someone starting their makeup collection.
4. Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Anniversary Lipstick
I'm a massive fan of the Rimmel London
lipstick formulas and have a growing collection of the Kate Moss nude colour range, as I find them to be extremely wearable. This shade named ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll
Nude’ is slightly more pink in colour and like all of the lipsticks from this
range, has a buildable level of pigmentation.
When looking at the packaging of this
lipstick, I love the chrome finish, with the addition of the rose gold on the
exterior, it's quite a stunner to look at.
5. Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Finish Lipstick
This Rimmel London lipstick in the shade ‘107’
was my first ever makeup purchase. Sentimental values aside, I'm an
avid lover of a strong lip when doing my makeup. There's something
monumental about a red lip that makes me love this product that little bit
more. What I love about this lipstick is that it's a deeper shade of red than usual; a colour perfect to wear in winter or during the festive season.
So there we have it, a rundown on my top five lipsticks. There is no doubt in my mind that my top five will constantly be changing with every new addition to the collection, so expect many more updates in the year to come!
Are any of these part of your top 5? Let me know in the comments below!
Love, Maria
